Business Broadband

Broadband Internet Access, aka broadband, enable your high-speed Internet access. ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) is a type of broadband. ADSL uses telephone lines but on a different frequency so it can be used at the same time as the telephone.

Download Speed

All Essex Telephone Systems Broadband speeds are offered up to 70Mb/sec but your actual connection speed will depend on a number of factors; including the distance, you are from your local telephone exchange and whether that exchange is enabled for fibre.

Upload Speed

The upload speed is the speed at which data (e.g. photographs) are uploaded to the internet (e.g. when you load your photographs onto a website). Upload speeds are slower than download speeds. The reason for this is that people generally do far more downloading. If you are looking for high upload speeds, a private data circuit may suit you as you can upload and download at up to 100Mb/sec.
